Unlock your Learning Potential through

Our Programs

The Cognitive Enhancement Centre offers courses of study developed by the world renowned Arrowsmith Program™ – a program based on the application of neuroscientific research which works to help students strengthen the weak cognitive capacities underlying a range of learning difficulties.

Through a careful assessment, learning strengths and weaknesses are identified to create an individual learning profile for each student. The goal of the Arrowsmith Program is to strengthen the learner’s ability to learn through a range of specific programs so that learning can proceed easily and efficiently.

Full Time Program

The full time program is our core Arrowsmith Program model and recommended for students identified through the assessment as having a combination of learning dysfunctions or weak cognitive areas. Students previously identified by a qualified Educational Psychologist or medical professional with having a Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) such as Dyslexia or Dyscalculia are often suitable for the full time program.

This is a rigorous program that requires students to participate at CEC between four to seven 40-minute sessions daily for five days a week depending on age and personal circumstances. The outcomes of the full time program are designed to strengthen student capacity for learning in a variety of areas such as:

Part Time Program

If students are unable to access a full time program due to time restraints then part time options are available. These are decided in consultation between the student, family and a trained Arrowsmith teacher to maximize efficient use of the time available for the individual student profile.

Motor Symbol Sequencing (MSS)

Suitable for part time students who wish to work predominantly from their own home and experience difficulties with:

• The mechanical aspect of writing
• Putting words on paper
• Can speak better than they write
• Have messy handwriting and careless errors in spelling and math
• Forming letters and motor planning in writing

Cognitive Enhancement

The Cognitive Enhancement Program is an effective brain boost for a variety of student profiles. School children, busy executives, professional athletes, musicians and senior citizens have all benefited from this model by gaining a cognitive edge. Students enrolled in this model would not usually have been diagnosed with an SpLD or have experienced significant difficulties in school. CEP students do not require an Arrowsmith cognitive assessment and will benefit from enhanced ability to:

Having participated in the MSS program students have gained improvement with:

Writing more legibly,
neatly, and easily
